Tyre of the month March – Michelin Energy Saver +

Tyre of the month March – Michelin Energy Saver +

As spring is peering round the corner, our March tyre of the month is one all drivers and driving styles can benefit from. The MICHELIN Energy Saver + is one of the most popular summer car tyres. Although summer suggests it’s meant for use in the warmth, summer tyres are designed for use in temperatures above 7°c, so spring brings the perfect conditions to ditch the winter tyres, if you have them.

The Energy Saver + does exactly what it says on the tin. The tyre has been specifically designed to be a fuel efficient tyre for city cars, MPVs and family cars, which really does make this tyre the perfect all rounder.

Research by MICHELIN shows that drivers could save up to 60 litres of fuel by using Energy Saver + tyres, compared to its predecessor(1). Drivers also benefit from the renowned excellence of MICHELIN tyres in both safety and longevity.

There is also evidence of increased safety thanks to the 10% larger tyre footprint. This gives better contact with the road and excellent grip too. Perfect for intense city driving(2).

The new patented Eco ‘N’ Grip technology from MICHELIN, used in the tread compound, has improved molecular cohesion to reduce heat build-up. MICHELIN has also added a special under-tread layer containing very low rolling resistance polymers. When, combined these features reduce rolling resistance making the tyre more economical.

Search for and buy your new car tyres online from PTA Garages and have your new tyres fitted at your local centre at a time to suit you.
