Tyre of the Month: Avon Storm 3D X-M

Tyre of the Month: Avon Storm 3D X-M

To celebrate the long days and warmer temperatures of July, we have chosen the Avon Storm 3D X-M motorbike tyre as our tyre of the month, as there is no better way to spend summer days then riding on the open road!

The Avon Storm 3D X-M has been designed for fitment on sport bikes including the Suzuki Hayabusa, Honda Blackbird and Kawasaki GTR1400.

Enhanced Grip

Designed for high performance at high speeds, the Avon 3D X-M offers excellent gripping capabilities for an exciting ride. The shoulder section of the tyre has been constructed with widely spaced aramid fibres which provide an optimised contact area that maintains contact with the surface of the road. This results in superior grip and high levels of safety when travelling at speed.

Extended Tyre Life

Avon are so confident that this tyre will provide riders with an extended tyre life, they named it ‘X-M’, which stands for ‘extra mileage’ and they state that it offers 15%-20% extra mileage in comparison to the rest of the current Avon Storm range*. This longevity is thanks to Avon’s innovative ‘Variable Belt Density’ jointless belt, that distributes pressure to provide even tyre wear.

Superior Performance

Developed with excellent bump absorption, the Avon Storm 3D X-M provides a smooth ride and a multi-compound super rich silica works to offer enhanced levels of stability, resulting in excellent handling properties and superior performance. In addition, this innovative compound has been designed so that the silica will rapidly disperse, providing a rapid warm-up time.
